Owners of the Yachts and/or small boats for entertainment for sailing into Croatian part of Adriatic sea would have to obtain nor to buy a vignette and passenger manifest or check list of passengers. These are the new terms and conditions accepted by Croatian Government and proposed by Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Mr. Bozidar Kalmeta.  Target of this new law i.e. rules is to STOP or withhold activities in Adriatic Sea in regards to illegal chartering with two hereabove mentioned documents.

Starting with 2005 all yachts nor boats which sailing or on the route to Croatian terriorial sea and/or which are already in Croatian marinas, would have to buy a vignette in port authorities office, with validity of one year from date of issue. With vignette the owners of vessels would have to pay all other necessary taxes. With vignette, owners of yachts would have to verify a passenger list and/or pax.manifest as well! List of passengers would be double than capacity of boat/yacht, what is prescribed by producers of yachts. Than for ex. for yacht / boat registered for 10 persons, will be possible to report a passenger list of 20 persons.

With this law government wants to stop illegal charter activities. According to new Law ,chartering/renting of yachts or boats is not possible for boats flying under forgein flags or flags or convinience, than ONLY under CROATIA flag. Those who want to continue with chartering of yachts is allowed to register their yachts/boats with authorities with closing date December 30, 2005.
